Nushin Shir, DDS, MPH
Dr. Shir practices cosmetic and general dentistry and has served many well-known celebrities in addition to owning and managing several successful dental practices in Los Angeles County for over 18 years. She is highly trained in complex and cosmetic dental procedures. Dr. Shir’s commitment and focus are to quality dental practice and patient care following the most advanced techniques and procedures. Your overall health is her highest priority. She listens and provides the best choice of treatment based on each individual and their needs. Her capabilities and philosophy of treatment are what makes her stand out from the rest.

Dr. Shir graduated from the UCLA School of Dentistry in June of 1993, and completed her coursework towards her Master in Public Health at UCLA (1987/1988 & 2007/2008). She earned her Bachelor Degree in Biological Sciences from UC Irvine. Currently, Dr. Nushin Shir is the Course Director and an Academic Instructor at West Coast University, teaching Dental Materials.

She is well-known in the dental field and has been interviewed by USA Today, Who is Who’s publication and Time-Warner Cable Section on Health in the areas of preventative and cosmetic dentistry in addition several Radio Shows. Her articles regarding modern dentistry have been published in several magazines. Dr. Shir was recently honored with the prestigious 2011 & 2010 America’s Top Dentist award. Stefan Zweig, DDS, MS Endodontist
Dr. Stefan Zweig received his dental degree from University of Southern California in 1986 and his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from UCLA in 1982. Dr. Zweig further pursued his education and received his Certificate in Endodontics from USC in 1982.

Dr. Zweig had a faculty position at USC from 1992 until 1998 in the Department of Endodontics during which time he served both as a clinical and didactic Professor and the Assistant Director of Graduate Endodontics. During his faculty position, Dr. Zweig lectured over 10 topics in Endodontic and related subjects to several dental organizations, locally, nationally, and internationally.

Furthermore, Dr. Zweig is Past President of the Southern California Academy of Endodontists and a Past President of the California Association of Endodontists. He has served on the Clinical Practice Committee of the American Association of Endodontists, on the Interdisciplinary Committee of the California Dental Association, and is currently Chairman of the Membership Services Committee for the American Association of Endodontists. Dr. Zweig’s commitment and devotion to progress in dentistry and Endondic is evident through his endless involvement.

Dr. Zweig has had several nationally published articles.

While Dr. Zweig understands that root canal therapy can be stressful for many patients, he has dedicated his career to providing quality treatment in a gentle and caring environment. He feels that the key to a successful doctor patient relationship is to listen to the patient, their concerns and feelings, and to keep the patient informed every step of the way.

Apel Keuroghlian, MD, DDS – Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon
Dr. Apel Keuroghlian is Chief Resident at UCLA- Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery program. Dr. Keuroghlian is from Southern California. His career began with a biomedical/biochemical engineering degree from the University of Southern California, where he graduated among the top of his class. Throughout his undergraduate education in engineering, Dr. Keuroghlian researched the effects of the different surface characteristics of implants and their integration with bone. He later decided to further his education by obtaining a dental degree from USC. While at the USC School of Dentistry, he received several endowed scholarships for academics/research including the California Dental Association research scholarship and academic scholarship as well as the Class of 1964 endowed scholarship. He once again graduated amongst the top of his class.

Dr. Keuroghlian truly enjoyed the surgical aspect of dentistry while in dental school and decided to further his education in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at UCLA which includes a Medical Degree from UCLA as well as a internship
certificate in general surgery.

Dr. Keuroghlian truly enjoys what he does and is committed to enhancing patient care by integrating his engineering, dental and surgical skills and education. He hopes to pursue research in the future, but is dedicated to patient care as his first priority.

Dr. Keuroghlian is fluent in both English and Armenian. When not working, Dr. Keuroghlian enjoys travelling, skiing, playing basketball or just hanging out with his friends.
